"Nukote recently purchased and installed a new pilot coater to enable development of new solvent-based coated products. This coater was to connect into an existing incinerator system that serviced solvent emissions from the existing two production coaters. Process Logic was hired to design the connection of the new system into the existing system. Based on their experience with incinerator systems and knowledge of the governing codes, Process Logic was quickly able to determine the system requirements, including solvent emission (LEL) monitoring, and provide a conceptual design. The existing system was documented by field inspections, as well as by measurement of air flows and pressure drops. The resulting deliverables (PFD and work release) enabled the final selection of the ductwork vendor and procurement of other long-lead items needed to insure timely and successful completion of the project."
